She does not want to leave Ukraine

We went back before the judge today. Vicka told the judge that she had changed her mind before court and had made a mistake saying yes previously. Her reason was that she did not want to leave Ukraine.

Alexandra and I fly out of Lugansk tomorrow morning at 6:45. We will leave Kyiv at 1:00 in the afternoon and arrive home at 11:15 tomorrow night. I know that there have been so many of our friends praying about this situation. We are sad and still shocked by it all. We don't understand why this has happened in the way it did. But we know that our God is a sovereign God and that He is working all things together for our good and His glory. Knowing that is enough.

  4. Perhaps the purpose is for you to become her sponsor for vocational school or in some way that will help her. Praying for you that time eases the pain and praying for her that she will stay safe and feel His and your love all of her days.

  5. God Bless you and your family! I can't imagine all of the emotions you must feel! It is awesome to see your ending statement of God's sovereignty in the midst of all you are going through...that alone is a testimony of your awesome faith in the One who is in control of all things! I pray that God will bring comfort and complete peace to your family!

  6. My heart is so saddened at the pain you all must feel. I am so sorry this has happened. We don't know why these things happen. We may never know. God is in control, though at times it's very hard for us to understand why things happen the way they do. We always wish things would work out for good. It's hard for me to think that an immature child turning down an opportunity like this is for their own good, but we have to accept it.

    We'll be praying for you.

    Blessings,
    June
